Lana Appennino is a story of recycling, sustainability, and women’s craftsmanship, and that’s why I love it so much.

Maria Tavares is a Portuguese woman living in the countryside of Cesena, in the Emilia-Romagna region. With dedication and passion, she collects Lana Appenninica from the shepherds of these hills—wool that would otherwise be discarded. After carefully selecting the best fibers, the wool is sent to a spinning mill in Italy, where it is expertly spun into a rustic, warm, and completely zero-waste yarn.

Each skein of Lana Appennino embodies the value of artisanal work and the beauty of a natural, authentic, and sustainable fiber.
